Once international students graduate from the university, they are eligible to practice wordwide in their respective fields. Below is some general helpful information for graudates to know about pursuing a career in the regions below.

UK

The General Medical Council (GMC) is responsible for providing GMC registration for doctors. This is required in order to practice medicine in the UK.

In the UK and Ireland, the veterinary and dental degrees are recognized by the following institutions:

-The Veterinary Council of Ireland
-The Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons
- British Dental Association
- Irish Dental Association

USA

Graduates are usually required to successfully pass all steps of the USMLE examination before they may obtain a licence to practise medicine in the USA.

IMS offers the students a preparation course toward the USMLE examination.

Graduates from Caribbean medical schools are taught under USMLE guidelines, with the intention of obtaining a high USMLE passing rate. Therefore, students interested in practising medicine in the USA are strongly advised to consider studying medicine at a Caribbean medical school.

Other countries

In the academic year 2001/2002 the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) was implemented. This system enables easy transfer to Universities within the EU. The courses studied at UPJS and SSGW and BRNO are recognized at Universities in other EU countries, as are the credit points they are each worth. Complying with this system also creates curriculum transparency further improving the recognition of degrees.

In those professions where the conditions of education in Slovakia Poland or Czech Republic are identical with those in the European Union, which have already been recognized (medical and dental doctors), the member states of the European Union are obliged to accept the diplomas issued irrespectively of the language of instruction.
