Application Procedure

The 6 steps below are all that is required for you to apply for admission to the University of your choice.

Stage A: Submit a completed online application form, pay the application fee (includes entrance exam fee) and send supporting documents.

The supporting documents are:

* If final certificates are not yet available, then please send a letter from the current school explaining which courses will have been completed by end of year.

Documents must be submitted to:

International Medicine Studies, s.r.o.
Mlynské Nivy 73

IMS will contact applicants by email to confirm receipt (expect confirmation within one week of receipt of completed materials). Applicants who do not hear from IMS within the specified period can assume that their applications are incomplete.

Stage B: Sign up for the preparation course (These courses are not mandatory but were designed specifically to help students pass the rigorous University entrance exam).

Stage C: Sign up for and pass the entrance exam.

Stage D: Receive a university acceptance/rejection letter or provisional acceptance* letter.

*The provisional acceptance letter means that admission into the University is pending until all documents are submitted and the applicant pays the tuition fee.

Stage E:  If accepted to the University, students must pay the registration fee  and submit the following documents:

  • High School Leaving Certificate (original or verified copy) - two copies required - one for the University and one for the Regional Authority Office.
  • Transcripts of the last 3 years of High School with names and numbers of lessons
  •  If your High School is a private school: certification that the school is recognized by your country.

All these documents must be provided in original or as verified copies (with original stamps and signatures). According to the law, the notary verified copy should be done in the Czech Republic. The University accepts verified copies from the Embassy in the applicant's home country, however it is recommended to verify the documents in the Czech Republic to guarantee that it will be recognized by the Regional Government Authority.

All these documents must be translated by a certified translator in the Czech Republic.
The University may accept a translation in the applicant's home country however the University cannot guarantee that it will be recognized by the Regional Government Authority.

Note the different requirements per country. If your home country is not listed here, please contact us and we will verify the exact requirements:

Students from Greece & Cyprus can present original or verified documents. No Apostille is required on documents.

Students from the United Kingdom, Norway, Kazakhstan & Turkey must present documents with an Apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in home country.

Students from Egypt, Jordan & Iraq must present documents with an Apostille from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in home country and also a stamp from the Czech Embassy in home country.

Students from the United Kingdom:

certificates from passed exams (A levels and others) and certificates from all school years at secondary school level  (e.g., transcripts, schedules). Students with an academic background must also present certificates from all semesters (completed and uncompleted).

Secondary School Validation (Nostrification):  In order to ensure that the student's education is recognized by Czech authorities, students must contact the department of education to validate their secondary education. The documents needed for nostrification are: application form, High School Certificate & Transcripts (original/verified copies and translated). Students must apply for  secondary school validation by the 31st September and
present it to the Administration by December 10th at the latest. The contact details below can provide this service for a fee of 1000 CZK.
