The University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences, Brno - 5 Year Pharmacy Programme

During the first two years of study, students broaden their knowledge in natural and medical courses by attending lectures and seminars and by participating in pharmacy internships. During the following years, students work on their thesis and graduate with a Master’s degree (Mgr.) upon passing a final state examination.

Graduates awarded a Master's degree need to complete an additional state exam and an advanced thesis in order to receive a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree.

Students interested in postgraduate study programmes can do so in five accredited branches of Pharmacy. Upon completing a dissertation and passing a final state examination, students receive a Ph.D. degree.

The Faculty of Pharmacy is a member of the Association of European Faculties of Pharmacy. Graduates meet all the requirements as defined by the European Union in the 2005/36/ EC directive, meaning that graduates can practice Pharmacy in all  EU member states.

There is an English speaking Study Office for study-related issues as well as an English speaking Tutor assigned to help students with personal issues.
