Admission Requirements

To be considered for admission to the 6 year dental medical degree programme (DMD) at UPJS, an applicant must have successfully completed the following:

1) A high school certificate (a notarized copy).
2) A passing grade on the biology and chemistry entrance exam (multiple choice format).
3) Submission of online application form with fees paid by deadline.
4) Good command of English. Since the language of instruction is in English, applicants should possess a good command of English as well.

The Dean of the Faculty makes a final decsion about student acceptance based on the success of the entrance exam and number of applicants. UPJS may accept students only to the 1st or 2nd year of study. Only transfer students from a recognized medical school are exempt from taking the entrance exam.

Applicants with an Academic Bacground

Students with an academic background may receive exemption from courses and even be placed in the second or third year of studies. However, the University Board of Admissions  will assess this only once the student passes the entrance exam. The University Board of Admissions decision is based on the curriculum learned during their high school and/or Bachelor(s) degrees. Therefore the student must provide an original transcript and syllabus authorised by a notary. The course recognition form must be filled out as well.
