Course Outline

How are the courses conducted?
The Master’s and Doctorate courses are taught in a distance learning method. Each student receives step-by-step manuals and a personal coacher to provide online support via the telephone or Internet. The coacher provides feedback as to the student’s progression before the student turns in an assignment to ensure that he/she is progressing in the correct path and according to the requirements.

The student receives three learning modules:
•Learning programmes with topics in principles of training
•A research programme tailored specifically for the student to earn his/her degree
•Advanced coaching exercises and research modules: Methodology and research.

In addition to textbook learning, students have access to a virtual learning environment where they can discuss and develop their research topic together with other students in the course. Online workshops will be instructed by professors from various disciplines. The student receives intensive training in Coaching Psychology by a staff of lecturers who are licensed psychologists with doctorates and doctoral students with diverse skills. Each year a 10 day academic marathon is held in Middlesex. 

Candidates for program
The program is designed for social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists, educators, health workers, behavioral science graduates, and other health care professionals. Candidates from other fields with extraordinary experience and/or knowledge in the fields of behavioral sciences and coaching will be considered as well in a personal interview. The goal of the course is to teach graduates from these fields to strive for excellence in coaching psychology using psychotherapy techniques.
