All Saints University School of Medicine DominicaCampusAll Saints University of Medicine MD Degree students follow the MD Degree program in the city of Roseau, Dominica. The current structure, located in Roseau, is a temporary site, with permanent structures to be constructed in Grand Bay within the next three years. Our faculty members are fully qualified and of very high caliber. MD Basic science professors possess either an MD degree or a PhD. Classrooms are equipped with high tech educational equipment, in order to fully facilitate the professors in providing an exceptional standard of teaching. The Library supports teaching and learning at the University by providing easily accessible informational resources and services. Individual cubicle study areas are provided inside the library and are designated as "Quiet Study" spots, away from the 'Group Study' hall. Computers are provided for academic use. Free wireless internet is available in the library and designated study areas. Human Gross Anatomy is fundamental to medical education and provides one of the most basic foundations for medical practice. Cadavers are available for dissection at the University in the Anatomy Lab. Laboratory sessions provide students with hands-on experience in dissecting the human body and serve to strengthen the lecture component. isto/path labs are also well equipped with hi tech equipment, models, microscopes and histology slides. Security is available on campus for student safety. Free Wireless internet access is available throughout the campus for students. The modern on-campus cafeteria provides a variety of food and refreshment options. There is a lounge area and gym room for students to relax or work out. All Saints also has its own bus service for students at a lesser cost than public transportation - you will be transported directly from your residence to campus and back. Housing AccreditationDOMINICA United States ECFMG Certification is required of all international medical graduates to be able to start medical residency training in the United States. All Saints University recognition by the ECFMG enables the University graduates to be eligible for ECFMG Certification and participation in U.S. medical residency training programs. Canada The World Health Organization (WHO) ProgramsThere are three programs for students to follow at the university: 4 Year MD Program The 4 Year MD program is for students who have completed a Bachelor's Degree or have completed the premedical requirements which normally consist of The 5 Year MD Program The five year MD program is designed to cater to high school graduates intending to obtain a MD Degree. This requires additional 4 semesters to complete the Premedical Program highlighted above. Students study for an additional 2 years to fulfill the 90 semester hour requirement in Biology, Chemistry, Physics, English and Math (4 semesters). Once these 4 semesters are successfully completed, students move on to complete the Basic Science (pre-clinical) portion of the program which consists of the remainder 4 Years . BSc. Medical Science Program All Saints University of Medicine conducts Bachelor of Medical Science Degree programs with three specialty categories. Students are given the option to choose one of the following specialties. 1. Analytical Chemistry Laboratory Eligiblity for BSc.
