Hi, I was recently accepted into the medical school programme in Kosice. I was just wondering if a current student wouldn't mind answering a few questions I have. Thanks, N?ofa

Hello, I was also recently accepted into the medical program at UPJS. Is it possible for me to contact some of the students who attend the university, so that I can ask them a few questions too? Much appreciated =]

Biology student - can I get exempt from classes in MD program |
07/06/2010 13:13:00 Christie |
HI, I am a Biology student from UCLA. If I choose to study in UPJS will I be able to get exempt from many courses that I already learned so I can save some time from being abroad? Please give details since based on this, I will be making my decision. Christie.

If the classess you took are parallel to what is taught in the syllbaus, then you can petition this and the admissions board may exempt you. If you have any specific classes that you would like to be exempt from, then please arrange the syllabus and all relevant information and I can forward it to the admissions office to make this request. Email me at michal@ims-medstudy.com if you would like to correspond via email. Best, Michal

studying medicine in Kosice - missed deadline? |
24/05/2010 13:37:00 Karen |
I heard from a friend that the openings to apply to Kosice has closed since spaces are limited - Is this true? Is there anything I can do to get in somehow to the medical program? I have been very busy with finishing up my studies and lost track of time. I heard wonderful reviews about the international medical program and believe that I am an excellent candidate. I graduated with honors and am a serious and dedidated student. Is there somehow a possibilty to squeeze in one more student to the program? Karen.

Hi Karen, No worries. Being that there has been a high demand for studying in our medical program, we extended the application deadline til July 31, 2010 and opened up 20 more available seats. Go ahead and sign up before these fill up as well. :) Michal

For the entrance exam, do the examiners provider a periodic table for students to use during the exam? Also are examinees allowed to use a calculator?

You will get the periodic table from the examiner. It is possible to use a calculator, but not necessary - the calculations are simple.
